Wed.  Language Arts  9:00 until about 10:45 ish

Thurs.  MATH  9:00 until about 12:00

Fri.   Science   9:00 until about 11:45.

Homework and message for parents

There is no homework the rest of this week and next week.  However, I have asked that students be practicing and reviewing for the test.  They can use their books or print off the 97 test release questions (I have a link on my blog)

Also, students need to start making a list of questions they have as they are working so we can discuss in clas

For the problems on the worksheet, please do number 1.  For 2, 3, and 4 please pick two of them to do.  Make sure to show your picture, write an explanation, and write your equation.  What you do not understand tonight please make sure to ask those questions in class tomorrow.

There no homework this weekend.  However, it would be a good idea to practice some of the test release questions.

For those of you who are absent please download chocolate chip cookies and multiplication of mixed numbers and math mixed numbers.  Try to use fraction bar pictures to show what is happening mathematically.  For example 1/2  X 1  1/3  put out one and one third fraction bars.  Find half of one....then find half of 1/3.    Whatever, those pieces are add them and you will have your answer.  (in a perfect world, it would be easier to show you)

TEST RELEASE QUESTIONS

I have attached a link (on the top right side of my blog page) that has sample MATH, SCIENCE, AND SOCIAL STUDIES questions that have been on the CAT 6 test you will take in late April.  

We will go over some of these questions in class.  I think that this would give you a good idea of what the test is like.   You will also get a better sense of your strengths and weaknesses.

Nothing needs to be turned in on Fri.  However, students were encouraged to spend ten minutes or so reviewing concepts that have been covered.  

Star Testing begins two weeks after break!
