Writing: Writing contest. Write a letter to your favorite author. How did their book influence you or change your life? Due January 5. $1,000 prize goes to the winner of the contest. $200 goes to the finalist.
Math: (For Tues.) Pick three problems from page 80 and write a story for each. Next, estimate using compatible numbers. Finally, solve the problem using a picture or number pattern. If you have extra left overs, how will that effect your overall answer?
