Concepts To Know:

Know the definition of a polyhedron and the names of polyhedrons

Know the definition of a prism

Know how to count the faces, edges and vertices of polyhedrons

Know how to count the faces, edges and vertices in polyhedrons you cannot see.

For example:  How many faces in a prism that has 29 sides on its base.

Know how to draw and recognize nets

Know how to calculate surface area

Know how to calculate volume

Math Test Next Wed.

What you need to know:

Know how to measure and create angles using a protractor

Know what right, obtuse and acute angles are

Know how to make diagonals in polygons.

Know that the regions created are triangles which help you find the total number of degrees.

Possible test question for this:  How many diagonals and regions are in a 16-agon?  How many degrees would a 16-agon have.  

Know how to find how many degrees are in the missing angle of a triangle and quadrilateral.

Know how to find the area and perimeter of squares and rectangles.

Know how to find the area of triangles and parallelograms.
