Math Test Next Wed.

Review Guide:

1)  Review the "Bob and Allen" problem.  Know how to section off the lawn and figure out what the whole is.

2)  Painter Problem:  Know how to find equivalent ratios to know which paint is redder.  Also,  it may be helpful to know how to draw pictures to show how many times more white paint there is compared to red paint.

3)  Lemonade Problem:  Be able to find an equivalent ratio that will serve a specific number of people.  For example  2 cups of concentrate to 4 cups of water.  If everyone gets one cup how could you use the same recipe to serve 12 people?

4)Know how to find whole to part, part to whole and part to part ratios

5) Know how to find outcomes in a situation.  For example, the handshake problem and the backgammon problem you had to use outcomes.

6) Read page 304 and practice problems on 305.

7) Study all the problems I mentioned above and make sure you could change the numbers and still be able to do them.
