Math Homework

Math:  Please use your 100 grids as a model for each problem.  If you do not have them you can make them from your graph paper.

For the following problems write a story to represent the equation (like we did in class) and show a model with a 100 grid.


1)       .5  X  .9 =


2)       .3  X .2 =


3)       .7  X .8 =

4)  Why is the product always smaller then each factor when the factors are less than 1.  Explain.

5)  John says that .6 X .1 = .6   Is he correct?  Explain in detail why or why not.
