Math Test next Friday: Place Value and Decimals

We have a test this Friday.  How to Study:  Go over all homework and practice some problems again.  The homework that was from your math book go over.  Also, go over all the other problems on those pages.  

Concepts Covered on Test:

Know how to record an order of fudge when someone comes into the fudge shop.

Example:  12 cubes, 11 longs.  Write the decimal.  (practice making trades)

Know how to rounds decimals.  (when the 10 cutter broke down)

Know where each place value is in a decimal.

Know how to put a decimal in expanded form.  Example:     .12         .1 +.01

Know how to add and subtract decimals.  Be able to show it with base 10 blocks.

Know how to order decimals  Example:   Which is bigger and why?   .8      .123             .98

Know how to find a decimal in between a decimal.  Find a decimal in between  .1 and .2

Know how to use the place value chart that you made in your math note book.  What happens to place value when you move right to left?  How many 100's and a million?

How do you know what pages to studty in your textbook?

Look at the homework. That wil give you a good idea of what pages to study.
