Geometry Test this Thurs.

Concepts to Know:

How to measure degrees with a protractor

How to create angles with a protractor.  Example:  Create a 37 degree angle

Know how to label lines, rays, line segment, parallel lines, intersecting lines, perpendicular lines and angles.

Know how to find the missing angle of a triangle.  Example:  45 degrees and 65 degrees are two angle of a triangle...How do you figure out the third angle.

How many degrees in a quadrilateral?  How can you prove it?

How many degrees in a triangle?  How can you prove it?

Know the difference between a regular polygon and irregular polygon.

Know how to draw diagonals and regions in regular polygons.  Also, know how many regions and diagonals are in any regular polygon and find the degrees.  For example: How many diagonals and regions in  a 15-agon?  How many degrees?

Know the properties for each of the quadrilaterals we discussed and took notes on in class.




Also, be able to compare their properties. For example:  A square is a rectangle.  Sometimes, Always or Never.   If your answer is sometimes be able to draw one that is and one that is not.       A trapezoid is a rhombus.  Sometimes, Always or Never.
