Homework

Math:   Try the following problems and do the following.

1. Write the question for equation is asking
2.  Is the answer bigger or smaller than 1
3.  Make common denominators
4.  Create a model


1/2 divided by 1/5=


2/3 divided by 1/4 =


5/6 divided by 1/2


For the other classes and my homeroom I will try to post a youtube link with me teaching the lesson later tonight.


Writing:  Write a paragraph from the feature article.  Include the main idea and key detail.  End with what conclusion (inference) you can draw from what you read.  Have your parents make one suggestion when you have finished.  Submit your paper in google docs for a grade.  I am looking for effort and thoughtfulness.  In the comment box I will give you a grade.

What you do is for example
1. 4/5 divided by 2/3
2. You do 4/5 and then turn 2/3 into 3/2. So now multiply 4/5 x 3/2= 12/10
3. Now you convert 12/10 into 1 2/10 or 1 1/5
So 1 1/5 is your answer

Yes all you have to do is flip the right fraction upside down then multiply I learned that from my tutor.

i use a different way of thinking for math

Example: 1/2 divided by 1/3
^
1/2 multiplied by 3/1

it =s the same think
